In a touching gesture of solidarity, a German Christian group visiting the Hadassah Medical Center and Hadassah's Gandel Rehabilitation Center crafted a Magen David and a Heart of Esther from wood pieces reclaimed from Auschwitz.
They presented it to a survivor of a terrorist attack in Jerusalem, who is also a second-generation Holocaust survivor.
This act reminds us that even in the face of darkness, there is hope and humanity in this world.
