THE TIME IS NOW. THE NEED IS REAL. WE CANNOT WAIT.
Hundreds of soldiers, hostages and civilians have lost their lives and thousands more have been injured in the ongoing conflict.
We can’t bring back those who have lost their lives, but we can help heal the injured.
ISRAEL’S INJURED NEED YOUR HELP NOW
Hadassah has fast-tracked the partial opening of the world-class Gandel Rehabilitation Center in Jerusalem, providing vital care to those suffering from acute injuries as they overcome immense physical and psychological trauma, helping them to rebuild their lives and regain independence.
However, the immediate need to open the remaining floors is critical to fully meet the rehabilitation needs of Israel’s wounded—both civilians and soldiers
Your support today can make all the difference for Israelis in need.

WHY THIS MATTERS
- Urgent Need: Only 70 of the 810 acute rehabilitation beds available in Israel are in Jerusalem, all at the Gandel Rehabilitation Center. This is only half the number needed to serve the 1.3 million residents of Jerusalem and the surrounding area.
- World-Class Care: The Gandel Rehabilitation Center is equipped with advanced medical technology and a highly skilled team dedicated to helping patients regain their independence. However, more capacity is urgently needed to treat the increasing number of wounded.
- Your Impact: Every dollar you donate will be matched, multiplying the power of your contribution - directly supporting the expansion of critical rehabilitation services.
Each dollar donated will be matched by our generous donors, making an even greater difference in the lives of Israel’s wounded.

TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
National resilience relies heavily on the infrastructure needed to provide care for those requiring life-saving surgery followed by long-term acute rehabilitation. With continuous threats on multiple fronts, coupled with already existing demands that exceed capacity,
Israel is in dire need of more acute rehabilitation beds, particularly in Jerusalem.
Israel’s wounded, many grappling with severe physical injuries and the debilitating effects of mental trauma, require an unparalleled level of care.
According to the Israel Health Ministry, since October 7, 2023, more than 17,000 Israelis have been wounded in the war at the Gaza border and in the Gaza strip; along the Lebanese border, and in terrorist attacks in the West Bank and Israel.
Now is the time to dig deep and make a lasting impact. Your generous support will help add more critical acute beds at the Gandel Rehabilitation Center, ensuring that Israel’s injured soldiers and civilians receive the vital care they desperately need.
Every donation counts, but today, we ask you to give more than ever before.
Together, we can bring hope, healing, and independence to those who have sacrificed so much.

THE RECOVERY JOURNEY OF THE SEVERELY INJURED
It is crucial to understand the recovery journey of the severely wounded. The injured are rushed to hospitals around the country for emergency operations.
Having survived life-threatening wounds, they are released, not to their homes, but to a limited number of facilities geared to provide acute rehabilitation.
Acute rehabilitation is the critical phase of recovery. Only when the patient is deemed capable of independent living can they return home.
The limiting factor in delivering successful outcomes for the wounded is access to comprehensive acute rehabilitation care.
Israel urgently needs more inpatient facilities at the Gandel Rehabilitation Center.
