I am writing to reflect on an extraordinary visit we had about a month ago to the Hadassah Hospital and its new Gandel Rehabilitation Center at Mount Scopus, an experience that continues to resonate with us. As we approached the end of our time in the Holy Land, this visit offered a profound insight into the remarkable capabilities and compassionate ethos of Hadassah's healthcare services.
Hadassah's Gandel Rehabilitation Center is a testament to modern medical excellence. Witnessing its state-of-the-art facilities firsthand was truly inspiring. The building's design not only focuses on aesthetic and functional excellence but also profoundly considers patient care and comfort. A particularly significant and sobering aspect of our visit was the tour of the hospital's fully equipped underground Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
