Melbourne-based biomed delegates visit Hadassah


Hadassah Medical Organisation was pleased to host Melbourne’s Andrew Shostak, Managing Director, and Daniel Goldman, CFO, from SGG Solutions as part of the Australian delegation attending the prestigious Biomed Conference held last month in Tel Aviv.  

During their visit, Andrew and Daniel had the privilege of engaging with distinguished professionals from Hadassah’s renowned medical departments. The experience showcased the world-class expertise and compassionate care that Hadassah provides.

Andrew and Daniel met with Prof Eyal Herzog, Head of the Department of Cardiology; Dr David Planer, Director of Hadassah's Catheterization Department, and Dr Gabby Elbaz Greener, Senior Catheterization Specialist and Head of the Structural Heart Intervention Program at Hadassah. The topics covered included cardiology, cath lab advancements, and the captivating Nexus aortic stent developed by Dr Planer.

Later, Andrew and Daniel had the opportunity to witness Hadassah’s dedicated medical team in action as they evaluated and provided care for a 3-day-old baby born with a hole in the heart. Dr Sagi Gavri, Director of Hadassah's Paediatric Cardiology Department, explained the complexities of the case and showcased the compassionate expertise that defines our institution.

They also explored the cutting-edge Wohl Institute for Translational Medicine. Director Prof Rinat Abramovitch presented Andrew and Daniel the breakthrough research and innovation that the institute is leading.

The cherry on top was their meeting with Dr Tamar Raz, Director of Hadasit Medical Research Services and Development, Hadassah's Tech Transfer company. During this session, they discussed exciting possibilities for future collaboration.
