We were delighted to join Olivia Kirshon and her family to acknowledge Olivia’s amazing generosity in donating in lieu of gifts to both Hadassah Australia and C-Care in Melbourne, two very special organisations for Olivia.
She recalled first learning about Hadassah when she was in upper kinder and heard about the wonderful work of the Medical Clowns, particularly helping children in the hospital wards. She said: “I have always had a very strong connection to Israel and even more so now, after October 7th ”.
On her fundraising page Olivia also explained that as part of her Batmitzvah program at Central Shule, she helped pack 100 boxes at C-Care for those in need of food, finding it both meaningful and rewarding to give back to the community.
