We are delighted to welcome two new directors to the Hadassah Australia board: Dr. Mark Suss and Doron Abramovici.
Dr. Mark Suss is an experienced anaesthetist based in Melbourne. He chairs our Achotenu health development scholarships committee, which strives to empower young Ethiopian Israelis and address Israel’s chronic nursing and occupational therapy shortages. Mark, a law graduate with expertise in not-for-profit governance, is an enthusiastic supporter of all our programs. He is deeply committed to improving health outcomes in Jerusalem and throughout Israel.
Doron Abramovici is a devoted cultural Jew and staunch Zionist, dedicated to fostering Jewish and Zionist continuity, especially among those marginalized from mainstream communal engagement. He serves as the Deputy Chair of the Grosman Family Foundation, which prioritizes the wellbeing of disadvantaged individuals and families. Doron’s passion for science, medical research, and technological advancements is evident, and he is actively participating in the 2024 Young Hadassah Without Borders program.
We look forward to the invaluable contributions Mark and Doron will bring to our organisation.
