Why is this Independence Day different from all other Independence Days?
Because this year we are focused on national healing – body and soul.
We are affirming our collective determination to heal divides, to eliminate the scourge of antisemitism and to address the pressing physical and psychological wounds that have been inflicted on our brethren in Israel.
This is the mission of Hadassah Australia – a mission inspired by the vision of the pioneering Zionist and Hadassah Founder Henrietta Szold – to actively participate in the ongoing project of building Israel, the home of the Jewish people, through health.
This Yom Ha'atzmaut, this is a challenge that Hadassah Australia takes on with purpose and conviction.
Together we can – and are – making a difference.
