Hadassah Medical Organization announced the appointment of Professor Yaniv Sherer as the new director of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
Sherer joins Hadassah from Barzilai Medical Center, where he served as deputy director. Sherer replaces Dr. Yinon Buda who held the role for the last 18 months.
Sherer was a military doctor, medical assistant to the CEOs of the Ministry of Health, deputy director general of Ichilov Tel Aviv Medical Center, and chairman of the National Research Fund.
A professor of internal medicine, Sherer is the author of 150 articles in the field of autoimmune diseases.
During his illustrious career, he was a founder of the national program for quality indicators in hospitals and currently serves as a senior member and reviewer in the international quality and accreditation organization JCI.
