The Second International Conference on Trauma and Mental Health planned for later this year at Hadassah Hospital has been postponed.

Co-chairs of the conference, Professors Richard Bryant and David Forbes from Australia and Esti Galili-Weisstub and Omer Bonne from the Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, announced the postponement after the long-term impacts of the coronavirus were assessed.

The new dates are 29-31 August, 2021.

David Forbes, speaking on behalf of the organising committee, said he wanted to emphasise that the decision was not a cancellation.

“The delay will hopefully provide time to organise an even bigger and better event in 2021,” he said. “The response from our keynote speakers has been very positive and we are confident that most, if not all, of them will participate”.

“In the meantime, important updates and advice from Hadassah will be provided through Zoom online conferences in the next few weeks.”
