Dr Oded Volovelsky
Congratulations to Dr Oded Volovelsky, director of the Pediatric Nephrology Unit at Hadassah, who was recently elected as chair of the Israeli Pediatric Nephrology Association. Dr Volovelsky is well-known to Hadassah Australia through the collaborative research between himself and Dr Alex Combes of Monash University, supported by AUSiMED. They are seeking to unlock the mysteries of kidney disease by focusing on premature babies.
He was delighted with the new role, saying: "I am very grateful for the trust placed in me and hope that together with my colleagues in the management positions, we can move the association of the most fascinating profession and the doctors dedicated to it forward and most importantly - for the patients as they deserve."
